The Loop is a cycling tourism event, which takes place in normal road traffic according to STVO 1960!
Each participant is responsible for him/herself and confirms with his/her registration at the event by personal signature that he/she has planned and inspected the routes and thus knows about the dangers on these! He/she is aware that there are repeated road damages (cracks in the asphalt, potholes, etc.) and road irregularities on all routes from the start to the finish! He/she agrees to adapt his/her speed to the road and weather conditions!
Participation in The Loop is at the risk of all participants! The organisers and the road authorities do not guarantee a suitable condition of the road and are not liable for any damage or accidents that may occur to the participants of the cycling marathon due to the condition of the road and the traffic on it! All participants must take out their own insurance with a licensed insurance company to cover any liability claims that may arise!
The organiser, the federal government and the state are to be held harmless without exception!
The road is not closed along the entire route and all participants, without exception, must comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations 1960! In particular, other traffic must not be endangered and impeded as little as possible and only the right-hand lane may be used without exception! In addition, special attention is drawn to the prohibition of cutting corners, the right-hand driving regulations, the priority rules as well as traffic light regulations and behaviour at roundabouts! All participants must allow pedestrians to cross the road unhindered at all crossings along both routes according to STVO 1960.
Each participant must inform him/herself before the event about the course, the road conditions, danger spots, etc. and inspect the course! All information on our website, announcements etc. are only additional help for the participants! There are repeated bumps and cracks in the asphalt along all routes! Each participant must adjust his/her speed to the road conditions! Particular care must be taken on the numerous descents!
